Ink Kitex RS 2.4K CR dealing with T’Gana Govt

Hyderabad: Kitex Group, who accused the government of Kerala hunting it from the country, has decided to improve its investment committee in Telangana.
From the initial announcement of RS 1,000 Crore at a clothing facility, the company has decided to invest the RS 2,400 Crore in establishing two clusters manufacturing fiber-to-clothing integrated in Telangana.
This will create 22,000 direct work and close to 18,000 indirect work.
Two clusters, which will appear in the Textile Taman Kakatiya Mega in Warangal and Sardarampur in the Rangeddy district, will send three million pieces per year clothing for children in the age group of 0-24 months to the US market.
Details were given on Saturday after the Chairperson of the Kithex Group and the Managing Director of Sabu M Jacob signed MoU with the Telangana Government.
The second largest clothing manufacturer for babies currently produces 1 million pieces of baby clothing in its facilities in Kerala to export to the US.
The company is looking at around 375-400 hectares of land for two units.
The first in KMTP is scheduled to start a commercial operation from November 2022, Jacob said on the sidelines of the MoU signing ceremony.
“Three months is the time for land preparation and we will start construction in January 2022.
In the six months we will finish the building and in August-September we will start assigning the machine at KMTP,” Jacob said, adding that the work in Sitarampur facilities will start 3 -4 months after the KMTP unit.
Indicates that the company has made orders for the engine, Jacob said: “This is not just a garment factory.
We will start from ginning to spin, knit, bleaching, dyeing and printing, all processes will be done here,” he explained.
Jacob also said the company would focus on hiring women for 85-90% of the proposed work to be made in two units.
Industrial Minister Telangana KT Rama Rao shows that once Kitex Group started operations, there is a possibility of purchasing cotton cultivated around 3 lakh hectares in the state.
KTR said Telangana was able to plant this tent investment starting with the SMS that he sent to the Kitex Group CMD followed by a telephone call and bid to fly it on a private jet to Hyderabad after Jacob announced his decision to get out of Kerala where he was planning to invest RS 3,500 crore.
