Thiruvananthapuram: G Satheesh Reddy, Chair of the Drdo and Secretary of the Department of Defense R & D, on Saturday called for the contribution of young thoughts in spacecraft science and technology.
The main challenge faced by the current space program is in the field of cargo and debris, he said.
Reddy conveyed the ninth convocation address of the Indian (iist) Institute of Science and Technology here.
“Artificial intelligence-based satellites, space-based communication system for defense in space, land and underwater, cyber security requirements for mini and micro charges, etc., is an area where the nation’s young mind must come with innovative ideas,” he said.
Speaking on that occasion, K Sivan, President, the Head of the IIS / Secretary of the Department of Space & Isro Chair, shows that space technology is an important tool that applies in all fields of development.
Welcoming the meeting, S Somandangh, Director of Iist, said the Institute has made every effort and involves all its resources to ensure that the learning-learning process continues and without compromise.
Upcoming project status such as Inspiresi-1, ARIS-2 payload, and RPA-V charge for Venus mission, the system for advanced spacecraft in the future, etc., was presented by Iist Chancellor Dr.
