Lucknow: Ahead of the 2022 assembly poll, the government plans to start the main infrastructure project, starting with a very important defense corridor.
Open the ground for three defense corridor nodes will take place in the next six months, starting with Aligarh in August, Kanpur in October and Jhansi in January.
The announcement was made in the prime session demanding a four-day length at the defense and aerospace seminar, where the chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister was the main guest.

The seminar was held by the Indian Defense Manufactures community in collaboration with CII and the Ekspres Industrial Development Authority.
“The UP Defense Corridor is a Greenfield project and even MSMEs and start-ups that are not directly related to defense and aerospace can benefit very well by it.
Up has the highest number of MSMEs with more than three crore people involved in it,” he said.
CM talks about defense and aerospace policies carried out by the government that provide subsidies and important benefits for investors.
The government has acquired 1,500 hectares of land for six nodes and cm has directed officials to obtain more on nodes where demand is high.
“We acquired 74 hectares of land in Aligarh who have been fully distributed to 19 units.
Investment Rs 1,500 Crore is possible through this.
During the Expo defense in 2020, 23 investors signed the MoU worth 50,000 crore,” CM said.
The government has signed the MoU with the Navy through the Industrial Development Authority of the Expressway value to build a center of excellence in Bhu and IIT Kanpur.
It also works with the Ministry of Defense to establish a laboratory under the center of public facilities for testing and defense infrastructure.
Jayant Patil, President Sidm, talked about reform in the defense sector, he said, focused on building capacity.
Speaking of the importance of this sector and the opportunities offered, he said: “This is proven through an increase in the 15% defense budget allocation.
Two-thirds of the budget dedicated to the purchase of the Indian industry, where 20% have been reserved for MSMEs.
