Innovative patent MSU bag ‘bench’

Vadodara: Researchers at MS University receive patents for benches that they have designed that help maintain social distance between occupants and are also easy to clean.
Researchers at the Family Faculty and Community Sciences have designed a bench by remembering the big steps of people in various public places after the covid sidewalk was appointed.
“During the class, we negotiate about how social distance can be maintained in public institutions and places.
So, we come up with this design that can keep the distance between two people and will also be easily relieved,” said Dr.
Sarjoo Patel, assistant professor.
Patel along with Fatema Dahodwala, teaching assistant, and PhD students Khyati Trivedi has secured a patent for this design.
The bench, made of aluminum, can be easily disseminated for its structure while the pillow chair consists of foam and Rexine.
“There is a distance of one meter between two seats and we have put the hook so that people can hang bags, bottles, and other valuables without touching the surface,” Patel said.
He added that the bench can be placed at the train station, bus stations, hospitals, airports, offices among other places.
