Mumbai: INS Khukri (P49), Corvette First missile built originally from the Indian Navy, submitted to the Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNHDD) and will be converted into a museum, the Indian Navy said on Friday.
In the elegant ceremony held at the Khukri Memorial Ins, Diu, Rear Admiral Ajay Vinay Bhave, the teachings and concepts of the flag officers, handed over the ship that was officially disabled to the Union DNHDD & Lakshadweep Pressur Patel region.
This event includes performance that is attracted by the Indian Navy band and the illumination of navy vessels in Anchorage.
Speaking on that occasion, Admiral Bhave revealed his in-depth appreciation to the administrator for the initiative kickstarting of Homecoming trips for the Khukri ins.
He also lives in the sacrifice of Captain Mahendra Nath Mulla, MVC, and the brave people from the first meeting of Khukri who remember it who remained dedicated.
Khukri is planned to be converted into a museum by the DIu government for public visits.
“The museum will be located along with the existing Khukri Memorial, where the scaled-down version of First Ins Khukri (F149), the Blackwood class anti-submarine frigate, is also placed,” Ti defense spokesman said.
