KOCHI: As a Part of Operation Samudra Setu II,” INS Shardul, the Indian Navy Boat of the Southern Naval Command, Came here on Thursday with four ISO Container carrying 87 MT of liquid medical Oxygen from Kuwait and the UAE.

Operation Samudra Setu-II was established by the Navy for dispatch of health Oxygen-filled cryogenic containers along with related medical gear from several nations in service of the country’s struggle against Covid-19.
The installation of frontline warships such as destroyers, frigates, tankers and amphibious boats of the Navy for its operation forms a substantial portion of their multiple traces of attempts, from the authorities of India and the Indian Navy to enhance the cortical necessity in the nation,also a Defence release explained here.
“Within this surgery, INS Shardul embarked 319 Metric Tonnes (MT) of liquid Oxygen from Kuwait and UAE such as 11 International Standardisation Organisation (ISO) containers, two semi trailers and 1200 Oxygen cylinders.
” “The boat arrived in New Mangalore Port on May 25, in which it disembarked 231.
77 MT of liquid Oxygen containing seven ISO containers, 2 semi trailers along with 1200 Oxygen cylinders”, it stated.
The boat entered Kochi at 3 pm and berthed in ICTT, Vallarpadam beneath Cochin Port Trust.
The Oxygen containers have been disembarked in the port and also passed over to the Government of Kerala, ” the launch said
