INS Sucaavat reaches Jakarta with Covid assistance supplies

Visakhapatnam: Indian naval shipmakers arrived at the port of Jakarta in Indonesia on Saturday bringing Essential Covid-19 assistance supplies.
Ships carry five cryogenic containers containing 100 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) and 300 oxygen concentrators to support Indonesia in combating ongoing pandemics.
INS Airavat is a large type of landing vessel with the main role to carry out amphibious operations and be able to carry several tanks, amphibious vehicles, and other military cargo.
Ships are also deployed for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations (HADR) and have become part of various assistance efforts throughout the Indian Ocean region.
India and Indonesia enjoy closely cultural and commercial bonds.

Navies regularly do naval exercises together in the form of bilateral exercises and coordinated patrols.
