Inspired by Farmers, Workers of Anganwadi Launched Protest in Haryana

Gurugram: Workers and Assistants of Affairs have launched protests in almost all 22 districts in Haryana, demanding higher wages and recognition as government workers.
On Friday, the protesters of Gheroo, BJP Office Mla Sudhir Singla, urged the state government to meet their delayed old demands.
In Noah, protests took place outside the Mini Secretariat for almost 20 days.
A similar scene has erupted in Rohtak, Rewari, Jind, among other districts.
Drawing inspiration from the farmers who protested, the protesters had vowed to continue their agitation.
“The farmers have inspired us to fight for our rights.
We will not leave the protest site until our demands are fulfilled,” said Bhula Devi, the workers of Anganwadi and Association of President Association of Jind.
Speaking of the reasons behind collective protests, workers Anganwadi said that promises made by Minister of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar had not been realized on the ground.
Chota Bhalawat, Chair of the State of Workers and Assistant Union, said that in March 2018, the Khattar government admitted on their demands.
“Workers are promised recognition such as other workers in the state.
But this promise has not been fulfilled,” he said.
Then in September 2018, Bhalawat added, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised aganwadi workers in wages, but it also did not come true.
“Work workers get an increase of 1,500 Rs and Assistant Rs 750, but that doesn’t happen,” he added.
Workers who protested emphasize the importance of recognition as government workers and get all the benefits that accompany it.
“Work workers put them live in their work, but during retirement, we don’t even benefit.
All workers are poor,” Sabita said, a member of the trade union.
They, who were at the front line of the Covid crisis, said that they were very deeply affected by the apathy of the state government and would not end their protests in the near future.
“We don’t work now.
We sit in ‘Dharna’ every day and will continue to do that until our demands are heard.
We will show you what power is now,” Bhula Devi said.
