This is the worst secret in the world of technology but not official.
Instagram is not a photo sharing application again.
While millions who use the application every day may already know this, it has now been made ‘official’ by the Head of Instagram.
Adam Mosseri, Instagram head, recorded videos on Twitter and Instagram and made claims.
Mosseri wrote, “In Instagram we always try to build new features that help you get the most out of your experience.
We currently focus on four main areas: Creator, Video, Shopping and Message.” Here it is.
Not mentioned photos as Instagram will now be all about video, shopping (well, the photo might just walk here), the creator (this is all about rolls, right?), And message (Facebook stamp).
Mosseri explained why this shifted from the photo to another when he talked about four focus areas individually.
Starting with the creator, Mosseri said that “strength” shifted from institutions to individuals and Instagram wanted to play a role in it.
With videos, the Head Instagram feels that they encourage growth for all major platforms – namely Tiktok and YouTube.
Mosseri said that Instagram no longer sharing photos or “square photo sharing” platform and the study said people used Instagram “to be entertained”.
Mosseri admitted that the competition was difficult in the room.
“Great Tiktok, YouTube is even bigger and there are many beginners in space,” he said in videos.
Head Instagram said that over the coming months, users will see many “experiments” when it comes to seeing videos on Instagram.
To shop, Mosseri refers to shift in online shopping behavior due to Covid-19 pandemic.
And finally, messaging is the focus and user on Instagram, according to Mosseri, has moved from the story and feeds to send messages to connect with friends and others.
