New Delhi: Instagram is reported to remove the swipe movement to access the link in the story.
The company has now started replacing movement features with stickers.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, Instagram has begun to tell the user that the swipe movement to access the link will disappear and will be replaced with a link sticker instead.
The Jane Manchun Wong application researcher also revealed that Instagram got rid of the swipe movement.
On the other hand, Youtuber Sam Sheffer has also shared messages received by several users in the Instagram application.
Notification received by the user, “Slide Up Links will soon become a sticker.
Starting August 30, the sliding link will be lost.
To add a link to your story, use a new link sticker.” Instagram also said that the link stickers will only be available for users with more than 10k followers or verified by the platform with a blue check mark.
With the introduction of the ‘Link Sticker’ new option, it seems that users will be able to extinguish the stickers that have an embedded link anywhere in the story.
Users will also be able to choose from various stickers too.
Last month, it was reported that Instagram had begun to test new features that would place advertisements on the store tab.
Instagram introduced the store tab last year as part of its efforts to expand into the e-commerce room.
According to a report by TechCrunch, the new ad feature will include ads that will involve one image or carousel of them.
Initially, only a few advertisers would have access to there, but the company would slowly expand the feature.
