New Delhi: Instagram has announced that it stops Snapchat like the ‘Utas’ message application.
According to a report by TechCrunch, Instagram will no longer support the utas at the end of December.
The report added that users will begin to see notifications in the application about shutdown on the application from November 23.
Discontinuation of the UTAS application was first seen by Alessandro Paluzzi engineer.
He posted about the screenshot of the termination for the first time indicating notifications from Instagram.
As mentioned above Instagram introduced the Threads application in October 2019 on the Android and iOS operating system.
This application shares several similarities with Snapchat and allows users to share their photos and videos with their close friends.
Instagram has not revealed the reason behind the application closure.
Meanwhile, Instagram has begun testing new features that allow users to add music to their feed posts, something similar to rolls and Instagram stories.
India is one of several countries where the company is testing the feature.
The other two are Brazil and Turkey.
With this feature, Instagram plans to provide users to add a soundtrack to photos of their bait.
Support for adding music is available in Instagram stories and Instagram rolls.
However, when users roll posted short videos; Instagram’s story disappeared after 24 hours.
There is no expiration for Instagram feed posts.
According to the company, this feature is being tested with a small percentage of the Global Community Instagram and expanded based on learning and feedback from the Instagram community.
