The endless – and sometimes mindless – scrolling applications like Instagram is a matter of many people dealing with.
Smartphone users finally spend a lot of time staring at the screen because of social media applications.
Instagram wants to change it.
In the video posted by the Adam Mosseri CEO Instagram, the photo sharing application revealed that it was testing new features that would give users the choice to rest.
Mosseri said, “What we test this week on Instagram is the one that really really I like.
This is called” rest, “and it does what you think.” These features, Mosseri explained, is optional and encourage you to rest “From Instagram after you spend a certain time on the application – 10, 20, 30 minutes.” Mosseri said that Instagram had worked with third-party experts and took advice on what tips gave users and how to let them break from the application.
Get advice on what tips should be and how to frame the break.
“Time for a break?” Prompt push users to “take the time to reset by closing Instagram,” Mosseri said.
WhatsApp launched a new design, features with the latest beta updates will see options like – take some deep breaths; Write down what you think; Listen to your favorite songs; and do something on your task list.
The idea is to keep the phone down, break from Instagram and stop scroll without end.
This feature is in the current testing phase and starting this week will be launched to select users.
Mosseri said that Instagram planned to launch a feature for everyone in December this year.
