Instagram introduces new features that will allow users to interact with stories.
With the latest updates, users can now send personal likes to stories, when someone uploads pictures or videos.
Previously, users could only respond to the story with emojis or send direct messages.
In both cases, replies will end in the user’s personal message section.
This, in turn, will disrupt the user’s inbox.
After people get access to this feature, they will be able to see the ‘heart’ icon between the ‘Airplane’ icon and the send message bar.
If they decide to like stories posted by someone, it will be seen by them on their viewer sheets (where people see who has lived their stories).
To find out who likes your story, you have to go through your viewer sheet, where you will find liver icons next to the name of the person who likes it.
However, people who will openly see your story, won’t be able to see such counts.
In a tweet, Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, said, “Starting running today, you can now send some love by liking the stories of people without sending DM.
Like stories are personal and do not have a count.
Instead, they appear as hearts in Next to the handle of the person on the display sheet your story.
“Mosseri added that the company’s idea is to” ensure that people can express more support for each other but also clean the DM simultaneously.
“Message is the top priority for us, and a large piece of focusing On DMS, “Add the Head of Instagram.
