Given the performance and achievements made by the department in several fields, the Power Minister Uni Raj Kumar Singh praised the country at a high-level meeting in Delhi, Yadav said.
Nitish said the same as the SPM installation work had begun on a large scale, some parts might demand free electricity.
Shelled it, he said the government had purchased the power of RS12,000 Crore every year, but income returned to the department only RS5,500 Crore.
“The remaining amount is given to consumers of power as a big relief.
Anything outside it will not be sustainable.
This, I have said even at the election meeting,” Nitish said, adding that the power consumption in the state has increased from 700 MW in 2004- 05 to 6.627MW at this time.
CM said the government had made extraordinary achievements in the electricity and central sectors also agreed to allow the country to buy power from the quota.
He also noted that other achievements were the entry of Bihar’s renewable energy generator yarn (Breda) in the production of renewable energy.
He put the foundation stone for the scheme worth RS1.011.95 Crore.
