New Delhi: Delhi pollution control committee (DPCC) has directed all 125 KVA diesel generator users and above capacity in the capital to install emissions control devices on the October set at the end of October.
In reminders of the orders issued on July 2, the pollution control authority said the DG set owner would withdraw penalties if they did not obey the instructions within 120 days from the date of the first notice.
It is said that the device that will be installed on the DG set must be approved by one of the five mastery of the central pollution controller board control and must capture at least 70 percent of emissions.
The DG set users also have the option to shift to a gas-based generator.
