Bhubaneswar: following the direction of the Grants University (UGC) Commission, universities and colleges affiliated in this country take steps to strengthen the Covid-19 protocol on campuses.
Given the fear of Omicron, educational institutions ask students to strictly follow the rules of Covid-19.
However, pandemic fatigue was equally witnessed in many institutions.
UGC recently asked the Chancellor of all universities and principals to take the right steps while continuing the class and offline exams.
Utkal University Deputy Chancellor Sabita Acharya said they had participated in the Covid-19 protocol, prescribed by state and UGC.
“Students and teachers wear masks and keep physical distances in the classroom.
We have supplied Sanitiser to all departments,” he added.
Acharya said they would make the settings needed in the examination hall.
About 15 students, instead of 30, will be permitted in the exam hall.
He added that they had asked Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation to hold Covid exam camps on campus next week.
Sanjay Kumar Satapati, Deputy Chancellor of the University of Society, said: “We follow the Covid guidelines and will continue to do so.”
