New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday calling on the Government Revamp Jallianwala Bagh Memorial “an insult to the martyrs”, saying only people who do not know the meaning of martyrdom that can lead to humiliation.
Take it to Twitter, the former Head of Congress marks media reports about anger on social media for alleged changes in the Jallianwala Bagh warning complex with many who claim that it “destroys history” on behalf of makeover.
Gandhi’s attack came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated to the nation of the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial Complex.
During the event, Modi also digitally inaugurated the museum gallery in Memorial.
The event also showed off several development initiatives carried out by the government to increase the complex.
Marking reports on social media anger for improvement, Gandhi tweeted, “only someone who does not know the meaning of martyrs who can cause insult to the Bayrawala Bagh martyrs”.
“I am the son of a martyr – I will not tolerate the insults of martyrs at any cost,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.
“We oppose this indecent cruelty.” In other tweets, Gandhi told those who did not fight for freedoms unable to understand those who did it.
