New Delhi: Integrated Science Lab, Smart Classroom, game-based learning and support for vocational education will be one of the focus areas of the five-year plan of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, which has been sent to the state and trade union.
Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan was launched in 2018 to provide holistic school education.
Instead of different schemes that look at pre-school, primary and medium schools in Silo, this scheme treats schools as a continuum – from pre-school and primary to senior secondary levels.
The scheme was extended to 2025-26 in August 2021.
This scheme has been harmonized with the recommendations of national education policies and “Many Transformative Recommendations of the NEP 2020 have been made partly”, the five-year plan said, a copy with TOI.

The government has announced its aim to reach 100% GER (gross registration ratio) at all levels as considered NEP 2020.
For this purpose, the center has asked the countries and UTS to send their proposals to open new secondary and secondary schools based on GIS mapping by the Ministry of Education.

The center also asked the state and UTS to develop a plan to provide integrated science laboratories, ensuring electricity for ICT and smart classrooms in all schools.
