Intel and Airtel announced collaboration for 5G technology in India
Written by news2in

Intel and Bharti Airtel have announced collaboration to encourage the development of 4G networks and 5g network access radio virtualization (VRan) and Open Radio Access Network (RAN) technology.
This partnership aims to develop a network of airtla communication from the fixed function equipment to the spread of the original clouds that are virtualized and enable edge-to-cloud communication to power our hyperconing world.
This is part of the Airtel 5G Roadmap for India.
The Airtel network will be powered by the Intel Technology collection: the latest Xeon Scalable processor, FPGA and EASCY, Ethernet 800 series, and Flexran reference architecture.
This will help service providers change their network to meet the needs of an increase of 345 million plus customers with flexible infrastructure and define software and respond to their various requirements for bandwidth and latency.
This will help airtel offer new services to consumers when programming their networks to generate long-term cost optimization.
Bharti Airtel and other telecommunications operators currently conduct 5G trials in certain cities throughout India.
As a member of the O-Ran Alliance, the two companies will work closely to develop various ‘Make In India’ 5G solutions and allow telecommunication infrastructure “world class” in India through local partners, Intel said in a statement.
The Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) platform will utilize Intel’s reference architecture with software components and hardware for telecommunications networks and enable software based radio base stations that can run on the general purpose server connected to the network.
“Capable digitally.
The vibrant population of connected Indian users requires a network that can be scaled and agile that can evolve to overcome the increasing demands of its users.
Airtel conveyed the next generation network with the extent of Intel technology, including Intel Xeon Scalable.
Processor and software Flexran to optimize the workload of RAN with embedded intelligence, to scale their infrastructure …, “said Rodriguez, Intel Corporate Vice President, a network platform group.
“Airtel is happy to have Intel as part of a rapidly growing partner ecosystem for 5G,” said Randeep Sekshon, Bharti Airtel CTO.
Led by an affordable smartphone and the lowest data rates globally, India has the world’s second largest internet population in more than 620 million.
The country’s active internet user base is expected to grow up to 900 million in 2025.
The emergence of 5G will further deepen digital adoption through various cases of industrial use and customers.
Intel also partnered with Reliance Reliance Jio Airtel to work on 5G technology.
