Intel and Bharti Airtel have announced collaboration to encourage the development of 4G networks and 5g network access radio virtualization (VRan) and Open Radio Access Network (RAN) technology.

This is part of the Airtel 5G Roadmap for India.
The Airtel network will be powered by the Intel Technology collection: the latest Xeon Scalable processor, FPGA and EASCY, Ethernet 800 series, and Flexran reference architecture.
