Kanpur: Nurture International School and Kanpur Chess Association will jointly hold a chess championship between two-day school RC Saxena Memorial starting from February 16.
According to Ritu Chitranshi, home school principals, CBSE boards, CBSE councils and ISC / ICSE boards can participate in the championship which will be held in groups of boys and girls.
Groups are: Group A- (6th grade 8) and group B- (9th grade 12).
The last entry date is February 12.
The player’s zoom meeting will be held on February 15, and the event for Group A will be held on February 16 and for Group B on February 17.
The top three players each group will be given a crossroad with trophies and certificates.
The school gets the highest points to be respected by the championship trophy, he added.
Secretary, the Kanpur Chess Association Dilip Srivastava said the online championship will be held for the first time in Tornelo’s online link so that transparency between the players can be maintained.
