Hyderabad: Continuing drive demolition for the third day in a row, the Task Force and officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) destroyed 10 more illegal structures in Thumukunta, Manikonda, Shamshabad and Pedda Amberpet on Wednesday.
Officials target unauthorized construction spread at 600 square meters.
Five structures like it were pulled down in the Thumukunta area, two in Manikonda, two in Shamshabad and one at the Amberpet pedda limit.
Officials said that out of the destroyed structure, two of them were spread in the area of 2.25 hectares in Thumukunta and the other large covered an area of 1.2 hectares in Shamshabad.
33 structures were destroyed in the last three days.
Before that, 10 other structures were destroyed last month.
Drive Demolition was launched after Secretary’s Chief Somesh Kumar held a review meeting with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Police Department and ordered officials to identify and destroy illegal structures.
