New Delhi: More than 500 individuals and groups have written to CJI NV Ramana who are looking for direct intervention from the Supreme Court in the alleged Pegasus Snooping Matter and stated “the moratorium on exports, sales, transfers and use of spyware pegasus in India.
The letter urged the court to Directing the center and company of Israeli NSO to provide time bound answers to several questions regarding the alleged cyber warfare of the country that has been carried out on Indian citizens.
The signatories – which include Aruna Roy, Anjali Bhardwaj, Harsh Mander; Vrinda Grover and Jhuma Sen – Revealing a surprise on media reports that spyware is allegedly used for supervision of women, students, academics, journalists, human rights defenders, lawyers and victims of sexual violence, and ask for the upper court to adopt gender – adoption of sexual abuse, data protection and privacy policy.
