New Delhi: Sebi on Monday asked for an investment advisor and research analyst to reveal the investor charter and data relating to complaints received on their mobile websites and applications.
New guidelines will come into force since January 2022, said market regulators in two separate circulars.
Sebi has developed an investor charter to facilitate awareness about various activities, related to investors while utilizing services provided by research analysts and investment advisors.
This Charter is a short document that contains details of services provided to investors, their rights, DOS and should not be done, responsibility, the mechanism for handling investor complaints and estimates of its schedule in one place, in clear language, for ease of reference.
Sebi has asked registered research analysts and investment advisors to pay attention to their clients, charter by displaying them on their mobile websites and applications.
If they do not have a website or mobile application, this entity must, as a size once, send a charter to investors on their registered email address.
In addition, in an effort to realize transparency in investor complaints recovery mechanisms, SEBI has asked them to reveal on their respective websites and cellular applications, all complaints including those received in the score in the format specified every month.
The data needs to be revealed the latest on the 7th of the following month, said Sebi.
