New Delhi: Investors have obtained more than RS 5.17 lakh Crore in two days of equity rally, with market capitalization of companies listed in BSE soaring to all time highs on Tuesday.
Rise for the second consecutive session, the 30-share Sensex BSE jumped 445.56 points or 0.75 percent to close at 59,744.88 on Tuesday.
BSE benchmark has surged 533.74 points or 0.91 percent on Monday.
Following a two-day rally, the market capitalization of BSE-registered companies jumped by Rs 5,17,836.87 Crore to reach a lifetime highest RS 2,64,78,332.22 Crore at the trading level on Tuesday.
“Indian equity is opened with a negative bias but regaining its momentum in the second half to the tip higher because wide-based purchases are seen in the market before September quarter-earnings,” said Siddhartha Khemka, Head – Retail Research, Motlal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.
The Indusind Bank emerged as the largest enhancer among the 30-stock company packages, jumping 4.60 percent, followed by Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, HCl Tech and Titan.
Instead, Sun Pharma, Powergrid, ITC, and Ultratech Cement is one of Lambgard.
In a broader market, BSE MIDCAP and the SmallCap index rose to 0.54 percent.
“The market remains optimistic towards the beginning of the income season even because global cues does not support,” said Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research (Retail), Securities Ltd.
