New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Wednesday rejected the challenge of the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) for the trial order order that allowed the leader of the P Chidambaram Congress and was accused of other media in Inx media to check documents.
“The petition was dismissed,” said Justice Mukta Gupta.
The CBI has opposed the inspection of documents on the grounds that the investigation in the case of Inx media, where both p Chidambaram and his son Kartti was accused, still ongoing.
The Investigation Agency also cites the possibility of destructive evidence while rejecting the challenge.
It has tried to set aside the order of a special review of March 5 which directed the agency to allow document checks stored in ‘Malkhana’ by the defendant or their advice.
In his request in front of the High Court, the CBI said that the Inx media case involves a high level of corruption with broad consequences of the community, and while the defendant has the right to fair trials, the collective interests of the community cannot be weighed.
.
“The fair trial is not what is alleged to want on behalf of a fair trial but it must calm the highest justice.
Although the right to the fair trial of the respondent / accused is not violated, because all documents reliable by the Applicant (CBI) are provided for respondents / accused , “That said.
The agency argues that the essence of the trial is to explore the truth where the court cannot help the defendant to find a reasonable defense in the case involving Chidambaram and his son.
