Pune: Aissms Institute of Information Technology (IOIT) College has received ‘A +’ Grade in Cycle-II from the National Assessment and Acreditation Council (NAAC).
To add one more fur to a hat, the college has achieved autonomous status from UGC and is now included in the autonomic college list of Savitribai Phule Pune University, a statement issued by the university on Tuesday said.
Principal Dr.B.B Mane said, “This institution scored a cumulative point average (CGPA) 3.40 on a scale of 4 points.
Reviewed by NAAC in accordance with the revised scheme, which has made the entire more stringent and tough accreditation procedure”.

UGC has provided this status to college for a period of 10 years.
Achieving autonomous status is a milestone in the progressive history of universities.
“With autonomous status, universities will now be able to independently create work-oriented courses, collaborate with foreign universities, conduct examinations and strengthen the initiative of ‘I-Connect’ in college to bridge the industry and academic gap,” said Mane.
The statement added that this assessment helped the community, students, parents, and industry to get information about the quality of education, research, innovation, various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, social commitment, teaching and learning methods adopted by universities.

Curriculum, Teaching Learning Methods, Research and Development, Innovation, Infrastructure, Student Participation, Innovative Initiative, Leadership and Management, Alumni Participation and Personality Development are points examined by NAAC.
Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Secretary, Shri Suresh Shinde, Joint Secretary, and Community Management Committee Aissm congratulated DR.Pbmane and IQAC Dr.
Mousami Vanjale, Mr.Sachin Shelar, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders for this success.
