Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the new Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise on Monday revealed the side logo before the 2022 mega auction.
Franchising said that the brand identity attracted inspiration from ancient Indian mythology.
“The Mythical Burd Garuda- who was protective and crowned with the power to move quickly, has inspired us to create a team of winged teams.
Garuda is everywhere in every culture and Indian subculture,” LSG said in a statement.
“The tri-color wing of the entity symbolically represents the appeal of Pan-India Super Lucknow.
The bird’s body has been formed by a blue stick to indicate a cricket game, there is a red ball too.
It’s like ‘Jay Tilak’ that is profitable,” he added.
Lucknow Super Giants said the identity was, overall, endowed with strong positive energy to soar higher and higher and achieved success.
Lucknow chose to go with KL Rahul (RS 17 Crore), Marcus Stoinis (Rs 9.2 Crore), and Ravi Bishnii (Rs 4 Crore) for IPL 2022.
