Tehran: Iran said that the head of an international atomic energy organization arrived in the country for talks with Iranian officials.
Kazem Gharibadi, Iran’s envoy for the IAEA, said in a tweet that Rafael Grossi arrived on Saturday, and would travel to Tehran this afternoon.
He is scheduled to meet Iran’s vice president and the head of the country’s atomic organization, Mohammad Eslii, on Sunday.
This will be the first visit to Grossi to the country since the new president of the Ebrahim Relisi served.
Gharibabadi said both parties would issue a joint statement after the meeting.
Talks between Iran and the world’s power about limiting Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions has been unemployed since June, and the Relision served in August.
Earlier this month, IAEA in a report said that Iran continues to increase the uranium deposits that are very enriched.
It is also said that verification and monitoring activities have been “damaged seriously” since February, after Iran refused to let inspectors access the IAEA monitoring equipment.
In response, Iran said his nuclear activities had been “carried out within the framework of Iran’s nuclear rights and under nonproliferation agreements.” The two main problems negotiated were returning American sanctions imposed by former President Donald Trump Administration after withdrew from an agreement, and the return of Iran for obedience to restrictions imposed on his nuclear program.
