Dubai: Iran called the Russian and English ambassador on Thursday after a photo posted on the Russian Embassy Twitter account considering the Tehran Conference in 1943, when Iran was occupied by the strength of the Allies, the Media of Iran reported.
Images, Foreign Minister who came out Mohammad Zarif, called “very inappropriate”, has attracted criticism in Iran, with many sayings on Twitter which according to the aim is to remind them of their countries under foreign occupation.
It shows Russian envoys, Levan Dzhagaryan, and the British Ambassador, Simon Sherlcliff, sitting on the US President Franklin D.
Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, sitting together at the 1943 Embassy during the Russian meeting.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs-appointed, Hossein Amirabdolbahian, said that “shows ignoring the national diplomatic etiquette and the pride of the Indonesian people”.
“During the meeting, the Russian Ambassador stated that his intention to publish this photo was a reminder of the Russian alliance with England against the Nazi army during World War Dua,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“There is no anti-Iran motif behind the photo,” the statement added, according to State TV.
While emphasizing the relationship between the friendship between Iran and Russia, an Iranian foreign ministry official explained that the photo publication was “unacceptable”, the statement said.
The Russian Embassy said it did not want to cause a violation.
“By taking into account the ambiguous reaction to our photos, we want to note that it does not have an anti-Iran context.
We will not offend the friendly Iranian people,” it was tweeted.
“The only meaning of this photo must pay tribute to joint efforts from allied countries against Nazism during the Second World War.
Iran is our friend and neighbor, and we will continue to strengthen relations based on mutual respect” Russian embassy added.

The Semi-Official News Agency Tasnim said the British envoy “regretted the misunderstanding” over the picture and said that “there was no bad intention behind it”.
Iranian authorities said they saw Moscow as “strategic partners” in talks between Tehran and six forces to revive the 2015 nuclear agreement left by Washington three years ago.
Tensions between Iran and England have risen from last month’s attack on a tanker where British citizens die.
England blamed Tehran, which denied involvement.
