Dubai: Three Iranian diplomats have arrived in Saudi Arabia to take posts at the Headquarters of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) in Jeddah, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman on Monday.
Iranian and Saudi Arabia’s regional rivals, which severed diplomatic relations in 2016 began to speak directly last year, with four rounds held in Iraq.
Baghdad hopes his mediation will stop the neighbors who try to complete the score in his area.
Saudi Arabia has described the conversation as friendly but explores.
“Three Iranian diplomats have arrived in Jeddah to start their work at OKI,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said at a press conference broadcast on television.
