TEHERAN: Iranian president who came out on Wednesday warned his country could enrich the uranium at the 90% weapon level if he chose, even though he still wanted to save a ragged nuclear agreement with the world’s power.
C comments by President Hassan Roahani, which was brought by the IRNA news agency managed by the government, came when he also criticized Iran’s theocracy wider because he did not allow his government to immediately reach an agreement to restore the 2015 Atom Accord.
Rouhani power has decreased when the public deterioration in his government Central economy suffering under US sanctions.
But his statement gave Iran’s signal to take a more rating approach with the West as the president of the elected hard-line Ebrahim Relisi will be taken home next month.
Speaking in a cabinet meeting, Rouhani made a comment of 90%, a rare moment for him to suggest Tehran can take that approach.
“Even if one day there is a need for 90% enrichment for reactors, we have no problems and we can,” Rouhani said, according to IRNA.
“We can do anything on the road peace.” The 2015 nuclear agreement, which saw Iran get help from devastating sanctions, the limited Tehran program to enrich only up to 3.67%, enough to power the civilian nuclear reactor.
Now enriches a small amount of uranium up to 60%, a short step from the level of the weapons.
Rouhani also complained that hard-liners outside his relatively moderate government blocked his efforts to reach an agreement in Vienna.
For months, negotiators have tried to find a way for Iran to return to the agreement limit and for the US to rejoin the agreement since then – the President, Donald Trump, previously unilaterally unilaterally.
The new round of Negotiations Vienna has not been scheduled.
Rouhani said he hoped the Relision government would be able to finish work.
” “There is no difference if the current or next administration will succeed, but we are very sorry that almost six months the opportunity has been lost,” he said.
