Dubai: Saudi Arabia worries about the increase in nuclear activities by Iran that threatens regional security, said a Saudi Foreign Ministry official, after Tehran began the process of producing enriched uranium metal.
Nuclear Nuclear Watchdog said on Tuesday Iran began an enrichment process, a step that could help develop nuclear weapons and criticized by the United States and the European power.
Iran said the steps were intended to develop fuel for research reactors, not in producing nuclear weapons.

The official said the steps of Iran to produce 60%-enriched uranium of fissile purity and uranium metal to 20% “represent increased threats” against regional security and non-proliferation of weapons.
They hampered efforts to secure “comprehensive nuclear agreements that ensure global and regional security and stability,” the official said.
Global strength has spoken with Tehran since the beginning of April to revive the 2015 agreement.
Washington resigned from the pact three years ago, and Iran had responded by gradually violating his limit.
