DUBAI: Iran’s president-elect has named himself”a protector of individual rights” after being asked right about his participation at the 1988 mass executions of a 5,000 individuals.
Ebrahim Raisi made the remark Monday at a news conference by his first since winning Friday’s election in a landslide.
Raisi was a part of a so-called”departure panel” that sentenced political prisoners to departure in the conclusion of the 1980s Iran-Iraq war.
