Iraqi officials: Blast on the busy Baghdad market wound 9

Baghdad: Iraqi security officials said an explosion hit a busy market in Baghdad on Wednesday, injuring at least nine people.
The Iraqi military confirmed the explosion without providing details.
The explosion was heard on the market in the city of Sadr, east of the capital.
The military does not describe losses or the extent to which damage.
Two security officials said at least nine people were injured in the explosion.
They speak with the terms of anonymity in line with regulations.
This is the second time this year an explosion has targeted the market in a densely populated environment.
In April, at least four people were killed in a car bomb attack on Sadr City.
The explosion was caused by explosives attached to cars parked on the market.
Not immediately clear what caused an explosion on Wednesday.
A large bomb attack, after almost every day in Baghdad, has slowed in recent years since the Islamic State group was defeated in 2017.
