CALANGUTE: A 66-year-old Irish woman, who was identified as Mary McNamara, was found dead in her rented apartment in Candolim recently.
Calangute police said that McNamara had lived in a rented apartment since June.
His body was found after several friends, who had tried to contact him and did not receive a response, visit the apartment.
After knocking on the door and did not receive responses, friends, along with several others, forcibly opened the door and found Mcnamara lying dead on the bed.
He allegedly died about four days ago.
The body was then taken to GMC, Bambolim, for postmortem examination.
