MySuru: During the second wave of Covid-19, from Frontline Warriors to tribal families who lived deep in the Chamarajanagar district forest, the Isha Foundation led by Sadhguru had served in need.
This initiative begins with the distribution of fruits, biscuits and drinks to the medical rim team and health care team at the Bengaluru Hospital.
Then, it was expanded to 61 hospitals in 22 cities and 11 districts.
Sadhguru, the founder of the Isha Foundation said the only operator in this pandemic was human.
“If we as humans become aware and bring yoga into everyone’s life, stop the pandemic in his footsteps far in our hands,” he said.
The foundation distributes more than 1,600 ration kits among nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes in Chamarajanagar and Chikkaballapur.
Soriga, Kuruba and Jenu Kuruba tribes are taught yoga as part of the initiative.
A hospital built in the Chikkaballapur district with the Isha Foundation is the main sponsor of medical equipment and hospital care items including ECG machines.
Raghavendra Shastry from the Isha Foundation, Karnataka, said 250 Islamic Islamic (doctors) had become online volunteers with BBMP and the Ministry of Health to coordinate with patients and families over the past two months.
