Vasco: Bengaluru FC drove Naorem Roshan Roshan Singh who was brilliant to end 10 matches unbeaten Kerala Blasters and entered four tin for the first time this season with a 1-0 victory in the Indian Super League match here on Sunday.
After a barren first half, Roshan scored from a spectacular free kick in the 56th minute, which turned out to be a decisive goal.
With that victory, the Blues moved to fourth place with 20 points from 14 matches while Kerala remained in third place with 20 points from 12 matches.
They lost for the first time since their first season’s match.
Playing after more than two weeks, Kerala looked rusty in an opening exchange with Bengaluru looking for a more threatening side to break the deadlock.
Denmark Farooq and Prince Ibara approached scoring but could not maintain their efforts on target before Jorge Diaz’s permission which failed to hit Sunil Chhetri and almost entered but Damn Nishu Kumar cleaned the ball from the line.
Both defenses keep things fast during Cagey’s first half.
Bengaluru deserves to get a goal throughout and it comes from a piece of individual brilliance earlier to the second round.
Roshan, brilliant throughout the game and season, curled up in a pleasant free kick from outside the box, his magical left leg sent a ball past Gill Prabhsukhan Diving and behind the net.
Kerala tries hard to attract levels but does not have the spearhead they have present this season in the final third.
HARMANJOT KHABRA Powered Volleyball Directly at Gurpreet Singh Sandhu While a few moments later he was called to act again, bringing Luna Adrian’s shot after he was founded by Diaz from the left wing.
Bengaluru was very close to doubling their lead but Cleiton Silva substitute saw his efforts to be tipped for the corner away by Gill.
Udanta then founded Bruno Silva but his attempt flew above the bar.
