Bambolim: Udanta Singh scored each other on both sides of half-time to help Bengaluru FC register a convincing 3-0 victory and destroy the hopes of Chennaiyin FC to ride the table in the Indian Super League on Wednesday.
Faith BasaFa opened the water gate for Bengaluru who was missing Gurpeeper’s first choice of Singh Sandhu’s choice with Lara Sharma filling for Star Shot-Stopper.
Basafa converted from point in the 12th minute before Udanta made him 2-0 in the 42nd minute.
The robber-climber also attacked the 52nd minute to take the game from Chennaiyin and ensured his team moved to sixth at a table with 17 points from 13 matches.
Chennaiyin remained fifth with 18 points from 13 matches, but the victory would take him at the top of a tree with Hyderabad FC having 20 points from 12 matches.
It was a few minutes panicked at the athletic stadium here after the southern derby was taking place because the two teams looked desperate forward.
Chennaiyin has a great opportunity in their efforts to take early tin but Lukasz Giwiewicz shot from ricocheted lid from the bar and exit.
Two minutes later, Bengaluru was awarded a penalty after Sunil Chhetri was littered in the area.
Basafa stepped up to take kicks and did not make a mistake, send the wrong guard with a delicious penalty that rumbled in the upper left corner.
Chennaiyin tried hard to withdraw the level with Germanpreet Singh and Vladimir Koman tried their luck but was unsuccessful because both efforts went wide.
Just before half time, Bengaluru doubled their profits.
Chhetri was in the heart of the iconic Indian steps and captain showed tranquility and the absence of the highest order when he scored his punch, cutting left and put the ball on the plate to score.
After the break, Bengaluru began to rule the game and got their prize immediately when Udanta doubled its calculations with rounding the Cool Rounding Debjit Majumder in Chennaiyin goal after grabbing the ball from Mohd Sajid Dhot with Slavko Damjanovic failure to avoid danger too.
It was blues from there when Prince Ibara and Rohit Kumar saw their efforts without producing fruit.
Chennaiyin did not have an instinct attack in advance until Lallianzuala Chhangte forced Lara to be an extraordinary deposit to summarize a good day in the office for Bengaluru.
