Chennai: Double Indian Super League champions Chennaiyin FC on Tuesday signed the Indian young midfielder Ninthoi Meetei for a three-year deal.

Imphal-born footballer is part of the Indian team who participated in the FIFA World Cup U-17 organized by India in 2017.
In 2019, Meetei won the best player award when India pocketed the title of his Saff Maiden Championship.
CFC Co-Owner Vita Dani said, “We are very happy to bring someone like Ninthoi.
He is still young but already has a 24 ISL appearance under his belt and must help the team for the coming years.” The AIFF elite academy product, the right-winger began his professional career with Indian FC arrows in 2017 and spent two years with the I-League club, making 27 appearances including two in the Super Cup.
MEETEI made ISL debut with Northeast United FC and had 24 appearances for Highlander in a two-year spell.
CFC head coach Bozidar Bandovic said, “Ninthoi is a quality young player with space to improve.
Our target is to build, work, and improve young domestic players because they are the future.”
