Tomislav born in Perth grew in Croatia, joined the Youth Academy of the Dalmatian side of RNK Split in 2001.
He left the city of Split after spending eight years in RNK Split to join Jadran Kaštel, the third division team in Croatia at the time.
He then signed the Primorac NK 1929 in 2010 and rose to stand out in the Imotski NK, where he was part of the beginning of XI in a short time even though it was only 20 years old.
A series of consistent performances in two seasons for Imotski and NK Mosor made him contract on the division side of NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac in 2013, from where he moved to Zagreb’s side NK Lokomotiva, driving his defense star.

He also spent time in South Korea, arranging his trade for Dragons Jeonnam, before returning home to sign Perth Glory in 2018.
