Kochi: Kerala Blasters FC has associated in the Croatian defender Marko Leskovic for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL).
According to Kerala Blaster, LeKovic joined the club from GNK Dinamo Zagreb (Dinamo Zagreb).
“I’m glad to come to Kerala Blaster.
We have many challenges in front of us but my intentions and motivation to come to this big club are clear – I can’t wait to win together,” Leskovic said in a statement.
The 30-year-old has more than 150 matches playing experience in the division of Croatia.
He began his career at NK Osijek and made 35 senior appearances for the club.
Then, Leskovic was transferred to HNK Rijeka, signed a four-year contract, where he made 41 appearances that made him eligible to play for the group stage in the UEFA European League.
Leskovic was then transferred to Dinamo Zagreb in July 2016 and was loaned to NK Lokomotiva in January 2020 until the end of the season.
Multipurpose central defender also has experience operating in the left and defensive midfield.
“Leskovic is a high-level defender that has come to Kerala Blaster with high motivation to perform well.
I am glad we finished this deal and finished recruitment for the upcoming season.

Leskovic has represented his country at all the youth national level from U18 to U21.
He made his debut for the Senior Croatian national team against Argentina in 2014.
His last international appearance was against Estonia.
Croatian defender joined Kerala Blaster as The sixth and last player abroad and will be connected with a squad in Kolkata, where the team participated in his first Durand Cup.
