Jerusalem: Israel sharpens his retoric against Iran’s combat drone on Tuesday, revealing what two bases are said to carry out maritime attacks with aircraft and offerings controlled by remotely with counter partners.
Arab Gulf countries share Israel’s worries about such drones, seeing Iran’s hand or its allies in air strikes on shipping or energy facilities in Saudi Arabia.
Tehran often denied such allegations.
“Today I revealed to you two main bases in the Chabahar area and Qeshm Island in South Iran, from where the operation in the maritime arena was launched, and where today, too, drone sophisticated Shahed attacks were deployed,” Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said at Security conference broadcast on television.
Separately, the Head of the Israeli Air Force proposes to work with Arabic partners – such as the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, who with him Israel inaugurated last year’s bond – against the threat of drones.
“Thinking that this is a great opportunity to create contacts and to build a defense plan for all countries that have shared interest in protecting themselves,” said Major General Amikam Norkin to the conference, organized by the University of Reichman.
“We can help significantly (against drones), both in terms of intelligence, detection or interception.”
