Israeli Defense Minister met with Palestinian President

Jerusalem: Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Wednesday that he met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to strengthen economic and security ties.
The second meeting since Abbas hosts Gantz in August in the West West City occupied in Ramallah, held on Tuesday at Gantz’s house in Israel, Israeli public broadcaster reported, the first trip to Abbas in more than a decade.
The official Palestinian Hussein al-Sheikh said the two discussed “the importance of creating political horizons,” for the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict aged decades.
The last round of peace talks collapsed in 2014.
