Villagers said there was no interference or clash in the area during the shooting, which occurred near the village of Beit Ur Al-Tahta, west of the city of Ramallah.
The man returned from work in Israel when he was shot, they said.
The population identified the deceased when a 39-year-old man lived in the village but brought Jerusalem’s identity paper, which allowed him to cross freely between Israel and the West Bank.
