JERUSALEM: The Israeli parliament Wednesday is defined to decide on the nation’s next president, a largely figurehead place that’s intended to function as the country’s ideology and encourage unity.
The election will be run in the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, along with the 120 lawmakers will throw their votes .
Two candidates are running Isaac Herzog, also a veteran politician and scion of a prominent American household, along with Miriam Peretz, a teacher who’s viewed as a down-to-earth outsider.

Contemplating his deep ties into the political institution, he’s widely viewed as the favorite to win.
