Jerusalem: Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz will meet with his French colleague in Paris this week for talks that will include “update” in the Spyware Pegasus scandal, his office said Tuesday.
A statement of the ministry said Gantz would leave on Wednesday for talks with French Defense Minister Florence Parly on the topic including the crisis in Lebanon, nuclear negotiations with Iran and Pegasus malware made by Israeli NSO companies, which were allegedly used to target President Emmanuel Macron.
Pegasus, who was able to turn on the camera or cellphone microphone and harvest the data, being in the middle of a storm after a list of around 50,000 potential supervision targets leaked into human rights groups.
