ISRO: Countdown for the EOS-03 satellite launch begins

Sriharikota: The countdown of 26 hours for the launch of the GSLV-F10 Onboard Earth Observation Observation starts here on Wednesday, the inter-India research organization said.
The satellite launch will be the second for ISRO in 2021 after a successful mission in February, which is a satellite Satellite Amazonia-1 and 18 Brazil.
Thursday’s launch was initially planned in April or May this year but the exercise was postponed because of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
“Countdown for the launch of the GSLV-F10 / EOS-03 mission began today at 0343 hours from Satish Dhawan Space Center”, Sriharikota, said the Bengaluru-head office entity in the notice.
Earth satellites will provide real time images from the country and border and can also monitor fast natural disasters.
“Earth Observation Agile The sophisticated EOS-03 will be placed in the geosinkron transfer orbit by the GSLV-F10.
Furthermore, the satellite will reach the last Geostation orbit using the onboard propulsion system”, the word iso in another notification.
This mission is the first flight of GSLV with a four-meter Ogive load fairing that can accommodate a larger charge, the word isro.
According to Isro, charging propellant for a liquid strap-on motorbike located on the side of the rocket is finished.
The elevator-off is scheduled at 05.43 in the morning from the second launch pad in Sriharikota about 100 km from Chennai and the Satellite Separation Observation Earth 03 is expected to occur after 19 minutes.
The purpose of this mission is to provide real time imaging near the area that often occurs at intervals; For fast monitoring natural disasters, episodic events and get spectral signatures for agriculture, forestry, water bodies and for disaster warnings, cyclone monitoring, monitoring of cloud burst and storms.
The mission life is 10 years, said Isro.
The previous GSLV launch included the GSLV-MKIII-MKA-M1 / Chandrauran-2 mission in July 2019 while GSLV-F11 was successfully placed by GSAT-7A in December 2018.
The Earth Observation satellite was previously launched by ISRO in November 2020 on the Polar satellite launch vehicle.
“PSLV-C49 managed to place the EOS-01 on November 7, 2020.
The purpose of the mission is a disaster management system, earth observation.
It is intended for applications in agriculture, forestry and disaster management support,” Isro said.
