Thiruvananthapuram: The District Court here has directed the CBI to produce reports of the DK Jain Justice committee and all diaries related to controversial iSro espionage cases.
The court made this direction while hearing the plea of anticipatory assurance from the former DGP Siby Mathews, which was charged as accused of the CBI case related to the alleged conspiracy that led to the wrong capture of Nambi Nariahanan.
The CBI agreed to submit a report on the Judge DK Jain Committee in a closed cover.
Meanwhile, DGP Siby Mathews told the court that the police arrested Narajanan based on instructions from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Wing Research and Analysis (RAW).
He was firm in his statement that there was no conspiracy behind this case.
Mathews’s advice told the court that the final report submitted by the CBI in 1996 must be thrown into the trash.
However, he received the latest investigation by the same agency and argued that the truth behind this case would be revealed if the probe was right done.
The court will hear the CBI argument in this case on Friday.
