Bengaluru: As part of his preparation for the Mission of the First Indian Human Spaceflight ambitious (the idea), the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Saturday said it managed to do a hot test from the system demonstration model (HR) from the service module propulsion system.

the first hot test of the HR of the propulsion system of the service module is a 450 second duration in the ISRO (IPRC) propulsion complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu.
System performance meets the test objectives and there are matches close to pre-test predictions,” Isro said.
The Space Agency added that a series of hot tests were planned to simulate various mission conditions and off-nominal conditions in the coming months.
The service module is part of the original orbital module and lies under the crew module and remains connected with it until it goes back.
“The service propulsion system consists of an integrated bi-propellant system consisting of five 440-N push engines and drivers of 16-n reaction control systems (RCS) with Mon-3 and MMH respectively,” said Isro.
HR, consisting of five 440-N machines and eight 100-N drivers, are realized (designed) to meet the requirements for the performance of the propulsion system on the ground.
The new test facility was established on the IPRC, to test HR, Isro added.
As reported earlier by Stoi, ISRO has been in July conducting a hot test of other long duration of the MKIII GSLV liquid propellant machine, the launch vehicle that will be used for the failure.
The third long duration test of the liquid propellant vikas machine for the Core L110 fluid stage of the MKIII GSLV vehicle, fired for 240 seconds and performance meets the test objectives and machine parameters very suitable with predictions.
