Paris: UEFA announced Friday 2023 The Champions League final will be played in Istanbul, after the last two editions were moved from the Turkish city to Portugal due to Covid-19 problems.
The 2020 competition was disturbed by a pandemic, and concluded with the ‘eight final’ tournament in Lisbon after being forced to stay away from Istanbul.
Last season’s final between Chelsea and Manchester City were again held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, but the British government’s decision to put Turkey on the red list of traveling UEFA to move it to Porto.
Saint Petersburg, originally scheduled to host the 2021 exhibition, in fact the final stage next year, while Wembley will be the final venue of 2024.
Munich, which is due to the final stage 2023, will now host the 2025 edition.
